How Discover works
Each week FILLI.ME scores public projects and personal websites, then fills each section from the strongest work. The editors review the picks and can choose work by hand too.
Discover has these sections:
| Section | What it is |
|---|---|
| Project of the week | The one project the editors think everyone should see this edition. |
| Featured | Work the editors picked for its craft, its finish and the care behind it. |
| Hidden gems | Small, careful projects that deserve more eyes than they get. |
| Builder spotlight | Builders whose body of work the editors want you to know. |
| Emerging builders | Builders early in their run, already shipping work worth a look. |
| Best personal websites | Personal websites that show the builder as clearly as their work. |
Make a project eligible
A project is scored only when it has all of the following. Missing any one keeps it out of scoring and ranking.
Step 1: Title
Give your project a name.
Step 2: Description
Add a write-up of what you built and how it works.
Step 3: Category
Choose the category that best fits your project.
Step 4: Technologies
List at least one tool or technology you used.
Step 5: GitHub repository
Connect the project's GitHub repository.
A live demo isn't required, but it helps. The wizard's Review step and your project page list anything that's still missing.
What the score reads
- Your code. A large part comes from the connected repository: its README, license, tests, commit activity, and whether the tools you listed match the code.
- Your write-up. How clearly the project says what it is, who it's for and what you did. The guided questions help here.
- Your links. Whether the demo and repository resolve to real, public pages.
When you're picked
You get a notification on your dashboard and an email. The work shows on Discover for that edition, and the project carries a Picked by the editors mark. See Views and notifications.
