Turn it on
Your address is held for you from the moment you pick a handle. Nobody else can take it. It does nothing until you tell it where to go.
Step 1: Open the Website page
The page is titled with your address, like
yourhandle.filli.me, and says Not claimed until you turn it on.WhereDashboardWebsite
Step 2: Enter where it should go
In Forward to, paste your site's address, like
https://your-personal-site.com. We check that it's a public http(s) address before saving.Step 3: Leave Forward traffic on
This is what makes the address live. Turn it off later to pause it without giving it up.
Step 4: Choose what search engines show
Your site is reachable at both addresses, so pick the one Google should list:
- Show yourhandle.filli.me if your site lives on a free host like
vercel.apporgithub.io. Your FILLI.ME address is the one that shows up. - Show your own site if you have a domain of your own. Links to your FILLI.ME address then help your domain rank instead.
- Show yourhandle.filli.me if your site lives on a free host like
Step 5: Choose Claim it, free
The status turns to Live ↗. Your profile now shows the Website verified badge, and your site can be picked for Best personal websites on Discover.
Add a thumbnail
The thumbnail is the picture on your card in Best personal websites. The page shows a preview of the card as you go.
Step 1: Choose Upload a thumbnail
A PNG or JPG of your site, under 3 MB.
Step 2: Crop it
Drag and zoom to choose the 16:12 area the card shows, then choose Use thumbnail. Use Replace to change it later.
Pause or release it
- Pause. Turn off Forward traffic and save. The status reads Paused and the address stays yours.
- Release. Choose Release… at the bottom of the page and confirm. It frees the address. Your profile link,
filli.me/builders/yourhandle, stays the same.
