Data engineer at a retail group in Metro Manila; before that I was a database administrator for seven years, which still shows in how I write SQL and how little I trust anyone else's. Most of my work is the nightly kind — loads that must finish before the merchandisers arrive, pipelines whose failures are measured in ruined mornings. I keep one personal project going at a time, usually something that turns a dataset I care about into an object I can hold.
