QA engineer for about ten years — five of them in the test automation team of a local HMO, now remote for a US healthtech company. I came up doing manual regression on claims screens and taught myself to automate my own job before somebody else did. My strongly held professional opinion is that most flaky tests are telling the truth about something. Off the clock I keep score — of basketball games, of karaoke nights — considerably more carefully than anyone asked me to.
