Introduction
Backend engineer, about twelve years in, mostly on systems that move money or move boxes. I started on PHP monoliths at a small shop in Mandaluyong and drifted toward the plumbing — queues, migrations, the code nobody demos. These days I do more infrastructure work than feature work, which suits me fine. I like problems where the hard part is that the data is already wrong and has been for two years. I am not especially fast, but I write things down, and I have gotten decent at making a risky migration boring.
