Data engineer, four years in, currently doing more pipeline plumbing than analysis and enjoying it more than I expected. I studied statistics and came out assuming I would be modelling things; instead I spend my time on the unglamorous half, which is getting data to arrive on time and be the same shape it was yesterday. I have a low tolerance for dashboards nobody opens, so I tend to ask who is going to act on a number before I build the thing that produces it. Still learning the operations side.
